Report: Conclusion

In conclusion this report looked into the successfulness of 35mm in 2014/15 and to my surprise while not overly successful  it fares a lot better than I had originally been brought to believe by an over whelming majority of sources who where of the mind set of if not already extinct 35mm soon would be because of digital.

My survey results with 6 participants showed that 50% of the people of them could not tell how a film was shot E.G Film or Digital whilst the other 50% could only tell sometimes which means with all the effort taken to shoot on film it really gets taken for granted as the majority of the time no one can tell.

My next question asked if films where no longer shot on celluloid would they be bothered 66% voted no whilst the other 33% went with yes. Again this just goes to show that average viewer just does not care a movie is a movie to them and they will take it however it is given to them with very little thought in the process of making it.

By the end of the survey I asked the people who took part if they where a film-maker or not and had an unlimited budget given the chance would they make a movie and shoot on film 83% shunned away saying no. When asked if they visit the cinema more than once a month 100% said no.

To me those results show that movies shot on film is not a main priority for the viewer
